Traffic Manager
The lynchpin on all projects, the Traffic Manager keeps the agency’s creative and development teams flowing.
Roles & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of Traffic Manager are:
Scheduling
- Set detailed schedules and deadlines for each project
- Ensure creative and development resource is in place for all projects
- Ensure proper processes – peer reviews, testing, sign-offs, etc. – are being followed
- Work with Project Managers to ensure you have awareness of each project’s progress and can adjust schedules as needed
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain a mid- to long-term schedule for all projects, identifying potential clashes and resource issues ahead of time
- Work with Finance department to ensure projects are accurately billed and recorded
- Identify future resource requirements
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- 2+ years’ experience in a Traffic Management / Scheduling role within an agency environment
- Experience working with and managing Project Management tools & software, such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Monday, Teamwork, Trello, etc.
- Strong organisation & project management skills, with an aptitude for multi-tasking and managing various priorities
- A confident, proactive attitude
- Demonstrably commercially-minded
- Excellent inter-personnel & communication skills
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft/Google office packages, Excel/Sheets in particular
Desirable:
- A degree in a business-related subject, or other relevant Project Management qualification(s)
- Experience in a Project Management / Client Communications role
- A fluent second language
Location
The role is to be primarily based in Edinburgh, with flexibility for some remote working.
