Lead UX Designer
We are looking for a Lead UX Designer to join our established team of website designers and developers. This specialist role is pivotal in ensuring we deliver world-class websites that excel in user experience and performance.
This role is to be based in our Edinburgh office, with 3/2 Hybrid Working
We're also looking for freelance UX design support, especially from those with hospitality and travel industry experience, so please get in touch.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and plan UX strategies that enhance the user’s digital experience.
- Execute the UX strategy via site plans, maps and wireframes.
- Present and rationalise UX strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
- Field UX questions and recommend appropriate actions.
- Understand client brand and marketing strategies.
- Understand client business and commercial objectives.
- Apply UX best practice, championing best UX practice within 80 DAYS, and with clients.
- Deliver UX strategies within budget.
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop the 80 DAYS website product and processes.
Skills & Experience
- Very good knowledge of UX Design software.
- Very good understanding of the web development life cycle.
- Good knowledge of CMS capabilities and parameters.
- Good knowledge of SEO requirements.
- Good knowledge of analytical tools, such as Google Analytics.
- Working knowledge of web development languages such as HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Working knowledge of productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, Trello, etc.
- Very good communication, written and verbal.
- Analytical and logical problem solving.
- Collaborative mindset.
- Confident in presenting ideas and rationale.
- Organised and methodical.
