80 DAYS Wins Two Lovie Awards

80 DAYS is delighted to announce that the website we created for Mark Beaumont’s world record breaking ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ project, artemisworldcycle.com, has won two awards at The Lovie Awards 2017.

The Lovies are described as “a mark of distinction for European Internet excellence” and we’re thrilled to have picked up two awards in the ‘Websites, Personal Websites & Blogs’ category; The People’s Lovie award and a Bronze judges award.

2 WORLD RECORDS, 2 LOVIE AWARDS

Mark’s double world record breaking cycle was broadcast to a loyal following via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and his website which was visited over 600,000 times from over 190 countries during the 78 days, 14 hours and 40 minutes he was on the road.

But the support for his endeavours didn’t end on September 13th, the day he returned to Paris. Mark was delighted to hear that the website we created for him had picked up two awards, including the People’s Lovie award, voted for by the public.

“Wonderful news. I’m so pleased to see that the hard work from the team at 80 DAYS has been recognised. Their great work and support, along with the rest of my media team, helped broadcast the adventure to the world. I’m especially grateful for all the public support too – thanks!”
